Principal SANFORD H. LYNE Ohio State University, B.S. and M.A. Although the faculty and students of Cambridge High School welcomed him as their new principal this fall, Mr. Lyne was really an old friend with a new title. A graduate of Cambridge High School, Mr. Sanford Lyne began his teaching career in the Cambridge Schools in 1939. After ten years in the junior high school, he became instructor in the senior high school in 1959. In 1962 he assumed the duties of assistant principal and was a very familiar figure inthe halls of Cambridge High School. During his first year as Principal of Cambridge High School, Mr. Lyne has had many new experiences and met many new problems. With the cooperation of students and teachers Cambridge High School will continue to move forward under his leadership. SEVENTEEN

Denison University M.A. Ohio State University Rosanne Dudley Secretary to the Superintendent SIXTEEN Secretaries Mildred Keiser Assistant Clerk Assistant Superintendent Upon the completion of his tirst year as Assistant Superintendent of the Cambridge City Schools, Mr. McFarland has termed it a most interesting year . In carrying out his work, Mr. McFarland's maior assignment is the supervision of all non-certificated personnel in the Cambridge Public Schools. This re- sponsibility includes personal supervision of school cateterias, transportation, and maintenance. Mr. McFarland misses the close contact with high school students which he had as principal. However, in his new position he has the opportunity for contact with all Cambridge school pupils. As Assistant Superintendent of Schools, Mr. Mc- Farland works closely with Superintendent Shelby in attempting to develop a better learning environment for all the students. Assistant Principal Working with Mr. Lyne, in his capacity as Assistant Principal, is Mr. Donald Nixon. A graduate of Marshall University, Mr. Nixon came to Cambridge in 1961 as instructor of instrumental music and director ot the Cambridge High School Band. Under his leadership the band grew in size and proficiency. Many new skills were developed and the school and community enioyed the many concerts and half-time programs presented under his direction.
