BUILDING FUR TOMORRCDW In this Cantab we are endearoring to show you the ways that we. the High School Students are preparing to shoulder the responsibilities. not only of the country but of the uforldg responsibilities that u'ill be recognized and accepted by all. Who can guess what roles we will play in the history of the next feui years? Whether the young men are destined for positions of responsibility in the armed forces of the nation. or the young women are about to play their roles in the WAVES. WACS or in the many activities on the home front. each of us have been challenged by our nation and we will not let that challenge go unanswered! Fully realizing that we nzust meet this challenge u'e do promise. in order to undertake these responsibilities .... that ure shall do our best in order to be capable leaders and citizens in the future. . . . . that co-operation and unity shall remain foremost in our lires . . . . that o1'er-conhdence will not rob us of attaining our goal. which shall be the highest . . . . that the sacrifices of today will be accepted willingly. in the humble knowledge that they are small. compared with the responsibilities we shoulder tomorrow . . . . that we shall nerer forget the value of friendship. participation. person- ality and sacrijqce These things we believe in!
