The C.S.H.S. chapter of the National Honor Society is dedicated to those ideals exemplified in the following four areas: Scholarship, Character, Leadershipg and Service. The members of this organization encourage all students to at- tain and maintain these ideals. Each year the NHS has two inductions to recognize the students who have achieved these goals. Membership in the NHS is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon any high school student. These students displayed their interest by sponsoring a teacher's talent show and donating money to help some Calvert Countains have a merrier Christmas. The primary aim of the FFA is to develop compe- tent, aggressive leadership and useful citizenship and cooperation. The Calvert Senior High School Chapter of the FFA competes in various activi- ties on regional and state levels. Its members have won many worthy awards. l26 2 2 m f X f The FTA is a most rewarding pre - professional program. The sum of its mem- bers' opinions can best be stated as their resolution to make their in- fluence count on the side of right, avoiding habits that weaken and destroy.
