He devoted many long hard hours to maintain the Phalanx Close in UJcopon System at its optimum performance. Pill ujos not only a hard worker but also a good friend to many on board. UJilliom I. Games completed UJcstPoc '83 and returned to San Diego on 12 December 1983. Shortly thereafter he was involved in an automobile accident with a reckless driver. Pill lost his life and his wife, lauri, was seriously injured. Our prayers go to his parents and his wife Lauri. C€ Division C€ Division is composed of three ratings: €T's, OS's, and €UJ's. These ratings comprise the eves and cars of the Callaghan. The electronic Technicians arc responsible for maintaining the surface search radar; IFF systems; cryptographic equipment; HF, UHF, VHF, and satellite communications systems, electronic navigation equipment and the ship s entertain- ment system. The Data Systems Technicians maintain the complex Navy Tactical Data System computers and associated display consoles; Data link 11 and 14 Luhich communicate with other ships computers, providing enhanced combat systems capabilities. The €lcctronics UJarfarc Technicians operate and maintain the SlQ-32 electronic Counter- measures equipment, and associated chaff launchers providing advance warning of hostile air or surface targets and missile attacks. 27
