The Cals :onlrolled lhe ball bul lacked lhe defensive slrenglh shown in previous games. The iniury of quarlerback Ken Mancini hurl lhe Cals as lhe offense slowed aller a quick lhird quarler score sel ip b a 65 yard run by Jerry Clair. Three plays laler, Ronald Sereni bucked over from lhe live and Mancini passed lo Gales lor lhe conversion lo end lhe scoring. CALISTOGA vs. TOMALES The 24 lo 20 viclory over Tomales was lhe mosl exciling game ol lhe year as lhe Wildcals came from behind lo vin on a lourlh quarler score by Dick Woodworlh. Scoring slarled wilh lhe opening kickoff as Tomales 'elurned lhe ball 8l yards lo lead 6-0. Two Calisloga louchdowns, one by Mancini on a one-yard plunge, and lhe olher a I5 yard sprinl by Clair, pul lhe Cals ahead, I2-6. Tomales slruggled lhrough a goal-line sland and converled lo make lhe score I3-I2 al lhe hall. Calisloga jumped ahead when Jerry Clair once more ran 20 yards lo paydirl. The lead was shorl-lived, how- ever, as lhe braves compleled a 54 yard sleeper play lo regain lhe lead for lhe lasl lime 20-l8. Woodworlh's score gave CHS lhe viclory. 'JALISTDGA vs. CLOVERDALE The Calisloga Wildcals wound up lheir I955 season rilh a job well done as lhey slaughlered Cloverdale, 47-6. The line, all seniors, held Cloverdale lo a minus 36 ards rushing, while lhe Cals ran wild.
