As a resuli' of ihis high raring, +he Bands phorograph appeared in fhe Firsi Chair of America, a book of oufsfanding bands in fhe Unifed Siaies, for fhe second conseculive year. This honor was buf one of many received by lhe CHS band fhis year. They were inviled fo Disneyland and fo +he Penecosfal Celebrafion in For'l' Bragg. Because of rhe fime rhey were being held, lhe band was unable 'lo aHend. The band was represenied af 'l'he music clinic in Siocldon by five of rhe +hir+y-'ihree band members. The eniire band wenf 'io Davis io play ialong wiih many ofher bandsltfor iheir Field Day and Picnic. The band presenied 'iheir annual Chris+mas Concerl and Spring Concerf, bo'I'h of which were a big success.
