'3 . n' '5 nae s u while working on the year book staff this year, i had the pleasure of being assigned to itblack history weekii, february 7 through 12. during that week, blacks got the opportunity to perform their talents on stage, in the lecture building, and dis- played their artistic talents inside the library in paintings, drawings, colleges, and black history posters. the activities presented on campus included afro hair- styling by a professional hairstylist, an afternoon lecture by dr. o.w. Wilson, entitled tiwhat is black history'. , a performance by kato spirlings poetic-musical revolu- tionary group ttblack loveti, and a usoul foodii lunch that wouldnit stop! the lunch consisted of barbecue ribs, cornbread, greens. red beans, rice, potatoe salad, and a knife and fork for those of us who didnil know how to eat with our hands we know who we are, ha, ha. so if you missed black history week this year people, open up your eyes, you missed a good thing!
