Within the squad, two members gained national cheerleading honors. Sheryl True- blood was one of 12 finalists, selected from across the nation, to the Pepsi Cola All American Cheerleading Team. In this game with Chico Sta te the Bron co team showed a strong determination to win. At half time the Bronco team held the Wildcats with a 14-14 tie. The outcome of the game was decided on one play with 2:07 remaining in the game. After jim Zorn had scored on a one yard keeper to up the score to 35-34, Coach Roy Anderson and crew decided to go for the two-point con- version and pull off a victory. The conversion failed . . . leaving the Wildcats with a 35-34 victory over the Bron- cos. The half time activities were highlighted by the crowning of the new Fall Fes- tival Queen, Miss Mari Puchal- ski. On hand to crown Miss Puchalski, was last years Queen, Miss LaVinda Lewis. Mari was crowned at half time of the Chico State-Cal Poly football game. Mari is a 19 year old Home Economics major, Whose interests include cooking, sewing and tennis. Mari comes from a family consisting of seven brothers and herseltl She hails to Cal Poly from the City of Covina, California. In keeping with the theme, the Poly Vue Commit- tee planned many interesting events. There were academic displays, a horse show, a deep-pit barbe- cue, a Grand Prix race, Orgy races, and many other activities in which the students and community were able to become involved with. MONTE CARL O NIGHT '74 Everyone Was A Winn er WINE, SPIRITS AND CATERING MANAGEMENT ,74 With the advent of the new Hotel and Res- taurant Management program introduced at Cal Poly this year, classes such as Wine 8- Spirits, and Catering Management are on the curriculum. Wine Bn Spirits involves the tasting of dif- ferent types of winesg while Catering involves the preparation and management of a dinner. Be it rain, during college hour, or meal time in the dorms, streakers paraded their bodies for all to see.
