Assistant Treasurer QThis organization of the students was founded by the present president, Edwin T. Preston, with the help of the school authorities. It has been successful and growing stead- ily for the past two years. 'The student body is composed of more than one hundred and fifty members. Its purpose is to teach the students how to manage social affairs. Although only two years old, it is one of the most influential organizations of the school. 'Each December a dance is held and the Student Body Hop of 1937 was a colorful affair and one of the biggest social events of the season.

FOOTHILLS ATHLETIC ASSCCIATION QThe Foothills Athletic Association, the leading student organization, had a banner year under the able leadership of President Specht. This association was founded in 1902 by Mr. Winfield S. Rundc and has gained in significance each year of its existence. 'On February 22 the Foothills Athletic Association Banquet and Dance, biggest social event of the season, was held. The banquet took place in the Primary Dining Room Where a magnificent dinner was given. Mr. Runde and Mr. Howson, retiring teachers, made speeches. Medals were presented to Theobaldo Ruffa and Mamoru Oto, graduating gridders, and to Coaches Byouk and Parks in recognition of their many years of service as coaches of our athletic teams. After the banquet, the dance was held in the Assembly Hall, and it was voted a big success by all the members of the faculty and all the students present.
