A class in office practice was organized this year. Credit is given for this work. Students taking this course are Roberta Mikita, Darlene Trojanovich, Sharan Gdovin, Bonita Kocerha, Eugene Kasko, Vera Hays, Georgienna Eurich, Douglas McElvain, Edwin Glaser, teachers of the class are Mrs. Floy DeWitt, and Mr. Loyd Lewis. This course consists of actual work in the office and also study about personality, appearance, filing, etc. These boys are learning to work with wood. Mr. Watson has three classes taking Shop. Many nice articles are made by the boys.

 IDEAS THAT HAVE INFLUENCED MODERN MAN Nine students from our school, together with twenty-six students from Kiowa, Arriba, and Simla, participated in a seminar this year. The seminar is designed to give students a panoramic view of education as offered in our institutions of higher learning. Junior and senior students who had shown a desire for learning over and above that which is offered in the high school classroom, and who have maintained above average grades were selected to attend these meetings. We devoted four or five sessions to each of five general subjects: literature, history, science, fine arts, and philosophy, with students from one school summarizing each unit. Because of its centralized loca- tion, we met once a week at Simla, at 7:00 p.m. Each meeting consisted of a one-hour lecture by a local or a guest speaker after which the students were allowed about an hour to ask questions and discuss the points presented by the speaker. At each final meeting, a panel discussion led by one of the schools was presented. These sessions were conducted entirely by students, and the ideas presented often brought lively discussion. Also during the course of the sessions we were shown films which pertained to the respective subjects, and we took some interesting field trips. All participants were given the College Differen- tial Aptitude Test and took two cultural quizzes. Those who have attended consider the seminar one of their most worth-while activities.
