0 The Calexico Puppiers thats what A S K B A L L we call Calexieog Bee string who, hot fol- B lowing the old saying A chip off the old block, came out of the season undefeat- ed and untied Imperial Valley champions for Bee strings. The Puppies, probably the best Bec string that Calexico Union High School has ever had, did not meet any com- petition in the season. The lineup fox the Bee string was as follows: Henry Legaspi, Leslie Dowe, Louis Moreno, Jimmy Roberts, and Jimmy Geering. Due to the loss of Albert Ramirez. forward, in the A string, Louis Moreno had to transfer to the A string at the time of the Brawley game, and incidently he was the high point man in the A string in this game. In the Bee string all the players will be back but one who plans to join the United States Navy in June, Henry Legaspi. Henry has been on the starting lineup in every game of the league and has proven to be one of the most dependable boys of the team. We're hoping, however, that Henry decides to finish high school be- fore he joins the Navy.
