Seniors OI-TfIi'l-.RSI Frnnf rou'4,Iane Yamashita, Barbara Little. SVUIIIIII l'UlL'BUl3 Green, Dick Nye. As the Class of 53 leaves the old familiar halls of C.H.S. for the last time, we take with us all the wonderful memories of the games, trips, dances, teachers, and classes we have attended. As Freshmen we survived initiation and elected Clifford Abe as our President. One of the high lights was the crowning of Sandra Stringfield and Tom McCollum as Colleen and Patrick at the Shamrock Shag. Our Sophomore year found us a little more confident of ourselves. We elected Ed Vail to lead us through the year. Some of the memories of the year were the crowning of Norma Bates and Mark Shaw as -Carnival Queen and Kingg and our winning the Hello Week tropliy. ft was a big thrill when we got to be Juniors. Upperclassmen at last, with Phil Masar as our President, we really made a year of it. We presented our first class play: the comedy Men are Like Streetcarsf' From there we planned and worked to give the Seniors a very successful Banquet and Prom. Finally we were the Seniors. To head our last year we elected joe Berry as our Student Body Presi- dent and Dick Nye as our class president. His other oflicers were: Bob Green, Vice-President, Barbara Little, Secretary, and jane Yamashita, Treasurer. Again we chose a comedy for our play--the never to be forgotten Our Miss Brooks. Then we were given a wonderful Banquet and Prom by the juniors. Next we were guests at the May Breakfast. The big climax of the year was Commencement Exercises which put a perfect finish to all our high school days. Special mention should go to the top four scholastic students, Larry johnson, Kenneth Robison, Yvonne Cleveland, and Clifford Abe. Due to the closeness of the grades, there will be no Valedictorian or Salutatorian this year. Con- gratulations. Although we will no longer be working together, each one of us will always remember these last four years in the salt mines of dear old C.H.S.
