Student Executive Cabinet The Student Executive Cabinet (SEC) is a branch of the ASI governmental structure that oversees the operations of programming of the campus organizations and boards. It is part of the executive portion and as such makes recommendations to the ASI President and the Student Af- fairs Council. In addition, it has the power to direct the ASI President to veto any legislation passed by SAC. as well as authority over the scheduling of all ASI events. Its membership consists of the ASI President. ASI Vice-President. ASI Secretary, Chairpersons of the Board of Athletic Control, Program Board. Music Board of Control. Publisher's Board. Poly Royal Board. Week of Welcome Board. Rose Float. Homecoming. Ethnic Programming Board, Women's Athletic Board. Intramurals. Rally Com- mittee. and the seven school councils. Under the new ASI By-law revisions, this body will become the Program Council and the three new reps will be added. They are the Panhellenic, Inter- Fraternity Council, and Human Growth and Understanding Committee. President’s Administrative Cabinet The President Administrative Cabinet (PAC) is a recommending body of the ASI which is a portion of the executive branch of student government. The body consists of ASI officers, the ap- pointment of the ASI President to University Wide Committees and Ad Hoc Committees set up by the President of the University, the voting representatives of the ASI on the Academic Senate and its various committees, appointments of the ASI President to various committees of the Foun- dation, and several non-voting members which may include the University President, and Academic Senate Representative, and the Director of ASI Activities. Duties of the cabinet are to advise the AS! President on academic and administrative matters; make recommendations to the Student Affairs Council and advise the ASI of its com- mittee work and progress. Under the new ASI By-law revisions this body will be replaced by two smaller bodies known as the Academic Council and Administrative Council. 7 j
