BACK ROW: Verdean Melch, Connie Lauritsen, Jennifer Seldon. Brandi Smith, Jennifer Bell, Sherry Tyma, Jana Hochstetler. MIDDLE ROW: Julie Fanta, Nicole Rossing, Shelia Tibbs, Teresa Oseka, Kristin Kemptar, Val Melch, Jaci Johansen. FRONT ROW: Jody Bowden. Lori Anderson, Tami Harders, Heather Simdorn, Monica Hargens, Daidrea Grim, Airika Nielsen. The Centura track team consisted of twenty-eight boys and twenty-one girls . They endured many practices not only to prepare for a meet but to attain per- sonal goals. During the year,the boys received a 2nd, a 3rd, a 4th, two 6th, and a 7th place, while the girls received three 1st, a 2nd, a 4th, and a 6th place. At the Conference meet in Loup City the boys received 9th and the girls took 4th. The teams went on to the District meet at Axtell where the boys finished 9th and the girls tied for 3rd. Out of the District meet there were nine members who qualified for State. Third place winners at State were both Jana Hochstetler and Jason Simdorn in the high jump. And they’re off, but Lori is the best pick. General Activity between events. « Teresa, you are such an animal. Smile Jen! Jennifer displays her strength. 27
