STUDENT COUNCIL The Student Council was very active this year with the traditional activities, such as decorating for Christmas, graduation, and Homecoming. In 1985 many new ideas were introduced. In March the Student Council held a Centura- Wood River dance, in an attempt to form better relations with other schools. In April “Students Against Driving Drunk” (SADD), was in- troduced, and Rick, Joel, Denise and Michele spoke to an assembly, explaining the program to the students. The council also started a scholarship fund by donating $5,000 in hopes of providing more financial help for college-bound seniors. They finished the year with the election of new officers and an installation dinner at the Interstate Holiday Inn.
