Student Council Student Council was very active this year. The first activity of the year was Homecoming. Stu-Co spon- sored the activities, decorated for the dance, and sponsored the elections of royalty. Stu-Co also sponsored a mid-winter dance. Members attended various seminars on leadership, self-improvement, and problem-solving. One of the major purchases by the council this year was a new popcorn machine. Two $100 scholarships were also awarded to two college-bound Stu-Co seniors. The End-of-the-year activi- ties include the election of the 1984-85 officers and their installation supper at Dowds. Drama Club Drama Club presented the play Our Town for the annual fall production this year. In addition, they attended Grease at Kearney State College for a learning exper- ience. The club also set up a scholarship fund to be awarded each year to a senior who has contributed the most toward drama and speech. Drama Class presented chil- dren’s theater for the elementary school as well as several short scene presentations to junior high classes.
