Lili is our foreign exchange student and is loved by everyone. We're all going to hate to see her leave. She's been a dear friend to many and she's brought a lot of sunshine into Centura this past year. It's been great to know her and even though she’ll go back to Colombia in June, we're sure she'll remain in many of our hearts. The following is written by Lili. My name is Liliana Corredor but everyone calls me Lili and I really like it. I am 17 years old and I have two brothers, 18 and 15 years old, and a sister who is 12. My father is a doctor and my mother is a volunteer nurse of a hospital. The Centura student council sponsored me. I came September 2, 1971 and I lived with three of the nicest families in the U.S.A. 1 spent three months each in the home of the Leonard Pritschau's, the Virgil Scofield's, and the Marvin Leth's, and with each one of them I had unforgettable moments. Among the things 1 really enjoyed were learning to bake bread, riding a sled for the first time in my life, ice skating, teaching Spanish, going to Denver, visiting museums, going shopping, and going camping. My emotions reacted in so many ways—one minute I wanted to cry and maybe the next minute I wanted to shout for happiness. All these kind of expe- riences gave me maturity and restlessness to get a bet- ter understanding about the human race. Also, it was very important to look and analyze the people's char- acter and appreciate their reaction. This has been a terrific year and the time has gone so fast. This has been for me the most wonderful moments knowing dif- ferent people, sharing my life with them, learning so many slangs in an unknown language. The school was THE BEST! I learned a lot in my second senior year and I really made lots of friends. Everybody is so nice ... I didn't even remember I wasn't home! This was my trip—a trip that gave me fantastic opportunities and excellent knowledges. All this will be a remembrance full of delight and illusion. I never imagined that I was going to live so many exciting moments. Do you think 1 will forget this? I wouldn't even think about it. Wouldn't it be nice if 1 could come back and visit all the places that made me so happy? The only words I can say are just thank you. Thank you friends, thank you Centura . . . I'll keep you in my heart! LILLI 26 STATE BANK OF DANNEBROG Member FDIC Dannebrog, Nebr.
