Mrs. Rita Ryan is the Faculty Advisor. The Caesar Rodney High School Chapter of the National Honor Society is dedicated to creating an enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulating a desire to render service, and the encouragement of character building. The chapter is most active in the many facets of our school life. Their activities include a school dance, the Alumni Tea at Christ- mas, the Annual Book Sale with the Bookmobile in the spring, the Annual Induction Assembly for the induction of new mem- bers of the Honor Society, displays in the Lobby showcase, tutoring services to students who want and need this service, daily devotions over the intercom, and the Honors Day As- sembly, when we recognize the many good achievements of our students. iO7 afjon DOI? Miss Sandra Dietrick fi Qzufure Qac' ers O is the sponsor. IZQQIGICG The Future Teacners of America is a national organization dedicated to encouraging students to look into teaching as a career. The Chapter at Caesar Rodney is under the leadership of Miss Sandra Dietrick. The club provides to students interested in teaching the opportunities, re- sponsibilities, and role of the teacher in our democracy. It offers the student an opportunity through practice teaching and student helper to learn first hand the many jobs performed by teachers. The club spon- sors many activities to stimulate interest in the program. These ac- tivities include student teaching, Bake Sales, American Field Service Day, Teaching Career Month, the Observation of American Education Week, and this year has helped in the Title I program here at Caesar Rodney. Every spring the members participate in the state-Wide FTA program at the University of Delaware. 109
