Future Farmers o America The Future Farmers of America is a national organization of boys who are or have been enrolled in high school agri- culture classes. The local chapter participates in many of the state and national projects through which members have received awards for outstanding work in such things as home electrification, crop and cattle judging, public speak- ing, and parliamentary procedure. Each fall the Caesar Rodney Chapter sponsors a Harvest Show. Competition is open to all students in grades one through twelve. Over 1,000 entries are judged and ribbons are awarded to win- ners in each class. During the winter the boys raise 500 broilers in facilities provided by the school. These broilers are dressed and sold locally. The proceeds from this venture are used to finance the annual Father and Son Banquet and a three day spring trip to some place of interest.
