Student Council Represents Students Improving the school and community The council has made a special ettort accounted tor many ot the Student Council's to intorm the rest ot the students about the projects during the past year. The annual ditterent topics discussed at the meetings Christmas bag distribution and collection was one ot the worthy projects which turned out to be a big success. Also as an aid to our community the council supervised the community chest drive in our school. Early in the school year the Student Council sponsored a square dance in the school gym which was such a success that the students wanted them continued. and to tind out what they think about them. Every Fall two parties nominate candid- ates tor governor, secretary, and treasurer. Atter the campaign speeches are made the students elect their otticers. Varsity Club Sponsors Athletics The Varsity Club, made up ot Cadillac l-ligh's letter winners, again served the school and community in carrying on many services. Their tirst proiects were to assist in bringing Michigan State tootball pictures and to sell Vilcing-head pins and decals to the students. The big event ot the year was the presentation ot the second annual Blue and Gold tormal dance which was held on February l2. This proved to be a huge success. lvlovies ot the Big Ten tootball high lights were shown during the noon hours in February. Immediately atter these movies, the Var- sity Club again assisted in managing the district and regional basketball tournaments held here in lvlarch. A iob was tound tor each ot the club's members during the tournaments. A big Cadillac pennant was sold to each ot the homerooms to be put on display there.
