There were six juniors attending from Cactus, they were: Laurie Hudson, Julie Ramsey, Lorraine Clark and Marlene Rumpf. Not pictured: Steve Chang, John Woodruff. The trip is open every year and the cost is in the area of 5543.00 this year, which the group had to come up with by themselves. Some of the money was brought in by a candy sale, and the rest was paid for by either parents or a scholarship granted by the govern- ment. The Reading Club met once a week before school. They are, standing: Dawn Walstrom, Rachel Walker, Mrs. Wolfrum, kneeling: Mike Slater. The Reading Club was busy this year helping the library select books.
