Track and ficld evcnts always create thc intercst of Byrd students as new rccords are madc. Those attending the mects witness trying leaps in thc high jump cvents, such as that by Jamcs Flect Howcll. On June 1, seniors graduated, and in Junc, the Big, Wide, Wonderful World of Byrd carne to a temporary standstill. Hon- ors were awarded, final work was completed, and those who were to be the leaders for next year were chosen. For each one, this year has meant something different and has held special meanings. When we look back many years from now, our thoughts will be directed to the fun we
