Although it was ax eonferenee game. the Lions Could muster very little defense against the strong llyrtl backs. Byrd used three Ouachita fumbles as stepping-tones for their first three scores. Robert Davis recov- ered the first one on the jacket 41-yard line. On the second play from serinnnagre. yllllfllliill livers displayed a brilliant example of broken field running as he slipped past numerous Lion defenders on ai run around left end and a 40-yard touchdown. Hartie Spence ponneetl on the next loose pigskin on the Lion 13-yard line. Peat- ross then seored from three yards out. The next fumble was re- eoxereil on the l.ion 12-yard line. On the next play Campbell raced at-ross for the 'l'.lJ. Then eame the reserves.
