1964 APIA RY FOREWORD The face of the world changes--a school changes with it. A desire for a better community- -a quest for knowledge are factors which encourage men to enlarge and improve their educational systems. Plans and blueprints are drawn and completed--the superstructure rises, bricks and mortar are applied. The physical building is complete, but the school is not. There must be a human element to make the building a school. An element which, like the building it- self, has its own peculiar structure. The board of education and administration provide the foundation, the faculty comprises the superstructure, and the students are the bricks and mortar which supply the human element. Byron-Bergen isin a period of expansion. Soon the physical building will be com- plete. Recorded within the covers ofthis 1964 APIARY is the human element which, when it returns in September, will find an enlarged building--a changed building. But even ag thi Building itself changes, so does the human structure. The c1iangg,n g:!fa:efeVrof a school mirrors the changing face of the world.
