Elm' ffisfary Four happy years ago we entered Butte High as a group of scared Freshmen. During our first year, under the guidance of our capable advisor, Mrs. Harris, we had a successful year. We sponsored the Freshman Frolic, and a Competitive Assembly. As Sophomores, we had grown accustomed to high school life and really got into the swing of things that year. With our Sophomore Hop, Competitive Assembly and other activities we left another good year behind. All of this was accomplished under the counseling of Mrs. Broadhead, our advisor. Suddenly we were upperclassmen-Juniors-an unforgettable feeling! This was the year we started flashing class rings, sponsored the Junior Prom, a Sadie Hawkins Dance and the Junior-Senior Banquet. Guiding us this year was Mr. Paul Bitzer. Seniors at last! We have marked a milestone in the history of Butte High this year. Our class of '53 is the first class to graduate from this new high school. We started our year by putting our number on the hill. Later days found us at our Harvest Ball, Senior Ball, Carnival, Sweetheart Ball and finally our long awaited Commencement Day. We are leaving these new halls this year with fond memories which will remain in our hearts forever. I953 ll! 1 TE! 'Ev J il 'K 1 i 'Q i f it 41 t f J
