THE NEW Sxeccctive O ccen, LIEUTENANT COMMANDER David B. JENNINGS. USN. is a native of Wilmington. North Carolina. After his graduation from Bishop England High School in Charleston. South Carolina in June 1965, he attended the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis. Maryland. There he received his BS and was commissioned as an Ensign in June 1969. Lt. Cdr. JENNINGS has served as Electronic Materials Officer, USS PERKINS (DD877); Naval Tactical Data Systems Officer. USS CHICAGO (CG-I I): Combat Information Center Officer. USS HALSEY (CG-23): Operations Officer. USS LUCE (DDG-38); and Engineering Officer. USS WICHITA (AOR-I). He also served on the Royal Australian Naval College staff at P.E.P. Australia for two and one half years as an Exchange Officer. Lt. Cdr. JENNINGS reported on board and has been serving as Executive Officer of USS BUTTE (AE-27) since 21 June 1982.
