««nr? LCDR RALEIGH W. MOSES, USN EXECUTIVE OFFICER Lieutenant Commander Raleigh W. MOSES, a native of Bellaire, Texas, graduated from Officer Candidate School, Newport Rhode Island in Feb- ruary 1962. After attending Communication Offi- cer’s School and Electronics Material Officer School, he reported to USS PHILIP (DD-498) at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii where he served as communications officer and electronics material officer. In 1964 he commenced study at Naval Post- graduate School, Monterey, California, graduating in 1966 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Com- munication Engineering. Following graduation, Lieutenant Commander MOSES reported to the Amphibious Command Ship, USS ELDORADO (LCC-11) where he served as head of the Communications Department. The tour included an eight month West Pacific deploy- ment where ELDORADO provided communication support for amphibious landings in South Vietnam. In 1968 Lieutenant Commander MOSES was assigned to the Center for Naval Analyses in Arling- ton, Virginia where for the first year and a half he participated in a study on the navy’s world- wide ocean surveillance system. The remainder of the tour was spent working on various com- munication studies. In 1970, Lieutenant Commander MOSES was assigned to Defense Communication Agency - Southeast Asia Mainland Region (DCA-SAM). After three months in Plans and Management Division in Saigon, he was assigned as Chief of DCA- SAM Detachment, Nha Trang, Vietnam where he served the remainder of his tour. Lieutenant Commander MOSES is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter R. MOSES of Springfield, Virginia. He is married to the former Irma dc la Garza of Mission, Texas, and now resides in Vir- ginia Beach, Virginia.
