Tlie retrospect of years may evoke for us a picture of the past, and the dependable pro- gression of seasons carry with it a hint of the future, but the present can be pictured only in terms of a clock. Thus Around the Clock is the ultimate picture to be presented in introducing Butler, 1953. There ' s the clock that points to ten minutes before eight and means a hurried dash to the first class and the clock that spells out coffee-break. For some, ten o ' clock may mean study and research in the library; for others, a stroll through the drugstore and to a rendezvous in the campus club.
