Jo the Jacult Before we, the graduating class of 1963, bid farewell to the hallowed halls of Butler High School, we wish to express our appreciation to you, the faculty. It was a big step from the childhood of our junior high years to the young adulthood of our first senior high year; yet from that first day three years ago we knew that you would help us meet each and every test with determination. You stood by us and aided us in all that we attempted. You were always ready and willing to lend us your assistance, even though it often meant hours of extra work for you. You have watched over us, guarded us, tried to protect us, and encouraged us. From you we have received strength, love, faith, joy, knowledge, hope, and trust in ourselves and God. The heavy doors swing shut bringing to a close our wonderful high school days, and the last sands sifting through the hour glass tell us that this period of our lives is rapidly coming to a completion. Before the door closes and the sands vanish, we, the class of 1963, bid farewell to you with the desire in our hearts that we may live in such a way that you will have reason to be proud of us. [ 18 ]
