Appetizing aromas, sewing ma- chines, and group discussions were all part of the Homemaking Department. It was here that girls were trained to fill the positions of future homemakers and home economists. The program included Homemaking I, ll, and Ill and family living. In the sewing room the girls learned how to make many of their own clothes. The modern kitchen provided the girls with every convenience to learn how to plan, cook, and serve a variety of foods. In the furnished living area the girls discussed decorating, child care, and family relationships. ln the Agriculture Department the business of farming was studied in various ways.
