Other matters with which the Board is concerned include the hir- ing and dismissal of administrators and faculty members. The Board makes decisions about physical im- provements and major purchases for the campus. The Board members are responsi- ble to the taxpayers of Butler county for the expenditures of their tax dol- lars for whatever purpose. The six members are elected by the voters of the county. Administrative duties vary with position Administration duties of various nature are car- ried on by a staff of administrators who are direct- ly responsible to the president of the college. Ron Wilson is Dean of Instruction. His responsi- bility is to oversee and direct all curriculum of- fered at the college. He is also the director of all faculty personnel. William Cummins as Dean of S tudents directs all student activities both curricular and social. He is also the administrator of the dormitory on the campus. Steve Lightle is Vice President — Financial Af- fairs. He is in charge of all monies, incoming and outgoing. Leonard McKinney as Registrar oversees the admissions and transcripts of every student on the campus. He is also Director of Research. Davis R. Nubs Nelson is superintendent of Buildings and Grounds. Ted Wischropp was named to a newly created administrative post second semester by the new president, Carl Heinrich. He is director of the Outreach program.
