Ecology Club The Ecology Club is open to students and faculty members interested in environmental problems. Members contribut- ed to the Swift scholarship fund and voted to purchase trees for beautifying the campus. The club also made plans for satel- lite ecology clubs in neighbor- ing high schools. Meetings fea- tured ecology films and guest speakers. The Lantern The Lantern is the student newspaper published weekly at BCCJC. Editors John Reinhart and Jim Cobb, assisted by an efficient staff and advised by Bill Bidwell, reported the news, critiqued plays, books, and records, and recorded and photographed the campus events of the year. Twenty-one staff members were honored at the fifth annual journalism banquet held in December.
