One- Act Plays Sweet Betsy from Pike . The one-act plays were directed by sophomores to give them experience in the field of theater. The plays given were To Burn a Witch, directed by Maurita Deines; The Informer, directed by Richard Martindale; and Sweet Betsy from Pike, directed by Jan Mountz. Amahl Wk ' I Amahl greets night vistors. The music and drama departments under the direc- tion of Mr. Thomas Dixon and Mr. Darryl Patten combined efforts to stage the fourth annual produc- tion of the one-act opera, Amahl and the Night Vis- tors. Amahl was played by David Clarkson, and Mrs. Edwin Clarkson portrayed his mother. The kings were Gordon Dolton, Darryl Claassen, and Vernon Peterson. The page was Keith Neill.
