Gym New Facilities Increase Recreational Program THE GYM on our new campus is the center of our recreational programs. Moveable bleachers open to seat 2300 persons and are used to accommodate assem- blies of the entire student body. Locker rooms, dressing rooms, and activity areas are provided so that men and women can be participating in various sports at the same time. The basketball court itself is equipped with six different goal areas for practice . For the first time our students can secure a well-rounded physical education program. BOYS P. E. Nursing First Class Completes Training NURSING STUDENTS in the first class at Butler County Community College will qualify, at the end of the semester, to write the state board examinations. The nursing department, located in the 300 vocational building, is equipped with hospital facilities for the study of bedside care. Actual clinical experience is received in various nursing areas at the Sedgwick County Hospital and Clinic, Wichita; the Prairie View Mental Health Center, Newton; and the Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital, El Dorado. Additional experience is gained by visiting various community resources, such as nursery schools, mental health centers, Red Cross rooms and ambulance services.
