Band The band is a voluntary group of students who receive college credit for their activity. They provide background music appropriate to the occasion for numerous college activities. Witham, presi- dent; Sharon Jordan, stuco rep. ; Mr. Dixon, sponsor Music Tuneful Expression Fosters Cultural Development Various performing music groups appear before county audi- ences throughout the year upon in- vitation. The Collegiate Singers, a popular group of singers who are chosen by try-outs, appeared this year for the first time in new black and wine attire . The band, small ensembles, and the regular chorus also participate in special pro- grams. The Christmas program, based on the Christmas Card motif, was well received by an ap- preciative audience. The annual spring tour to high schools in the area and the Palm Sunday cantata were the major spring activities. The Clef Dwellers is the club or- ganization for all students inter- ested in listening experiences and opportunities to appreciate various types of music. 23
