Staff Enlarged Campus Demands More Personnel A GREATLY EXPANDED STAFF this year has been necessary because of the growth of our school and the in- creased responsibilities of managing the physical plant and the official business. Student assistants in the maintenance department are Jim Branine, Don Gregg, and Richard Marcum. Central office staff members in- clude Mrs. Ethyl Lange, Linda Bates, and Mrs. Barbara Coonrod. STUDENT ASSISTANTS in the various offices in- clude Cindy Harris and Kendra Wilkinson, ABOVE. Sondra Shelton, Janice Walls, and Donna Bonham, BELOW Mr. Riggs has served most efficiently this year as book- store manager and director of concessions.

Science and Math Expanded facilities Increase science offering STRONG SCIENCE and mathema- tics departments are essential in any- liberal arts institution. These depart- ments at Butler County Community Junior College meet the needs not only of students who major in these fields, but also of those who are majoring in other areas. The science department offers both physical and biological science and sponsors a science club. Courses in mathematics vary from modern math to calculus. The science department is housed in the science wing of the sci- ence-academic complex and includes a lecture hall which seats ninety. The mathematics classes are held in the ac- ademic wing of the building. BOTANICAL GREENHOUSE explained to Juco students by Mr. Fuller CHEMISTRY STUDENTS learn the basic elements of proper laboratory procedures. MR. PETTUS INSTRUCTS students in the proper formation of a laboratory report. 10
