It should seem, however, that in all communities this should be the rule rather than the exception. Our yell leaders now will probably be your leaders some three or four years hence. Our Colts are learning the fundamentals of the games and the good spotsmanship that will pay off later for Burroughs High School. Our students are gaining the skills to make further academic progress a stimulating experience. I look for great progress in all aspects of the program at Burroughs in the immediate future. For the first time in the history of Burroughs High School, classes for both girls and boys in the arts of tumbling have been formed as an activity during special period. Under the direction of Mr. Pierce and Miss Booth, the classes or teams put on a demonstration as an assembly which proved very interesting. This sport is very good for conditioning the body and can be a lot of fun. It can be very helpful to the boys who intend to play football, as it teaches the right Way to fall, thus lessening the chances of possible injury.
