611155 ffzsfvry In T954 led by Bob Schullung and hus cohorts we were Turned loose from uunuor hugh and promptly invaded the senior hugh With the help of Mrs Johnson and Mr Reunshagen whom we considered the necessary evuls we scattered seeds around the area and counted money from our Freshman Kickoff then sentenced Carl and Harry to the Student Councul for two years After we migrated to the new school for our sophomore year the Hurricane Hop blew off un great style Gradually we permeated the schools clubs and actuvutues wuth our rosy vusuons of the future Much to our delight these rosy vusuons were realized when the ten week reports came out un patruotuc colors Ten of our more aggressive athletes provudecl substitutes for Burnt Hills furst football team Later we puzzled over what color or style of class rung to order but each one found one to fut his or her preference Cand fungerl When the school orchestra was furst allowed un publuc fuve of us were privileged to tune up wuth ut Then as most of us became uunuors we really got unto things around school things such as the pruncupals offuce and the teachers haur lwhat was left of utb ln the early fall we modestly flaunted our dazzling class rungs After the stars had left our eyes we saw that our fellows on the football team havung tued for furst place hadnt done too badly at all In order to cut classes legally and wreak revenge on underclassmen we uouned the Spartan Guards which proved to be 75000 volt linear accelerator The faculty also attempted to export several of our classmates for the summer Competition was keen but eventually Rosle was sent to Europe as our A FS representative Meanwhile un hus spare time our valorous president George Loomis was occasionally considering the possubuluty of stagung a small dance to support the treasury Funally after a number of class meetings which all of us enuoyed we made a couple of phone calls hung twelve mules of crepe paper buult a fence and called ut Noches Espanola our Junior Prom Wuth Donna Mae as our lovely queen our prom was very effectuve es pecually on the class treasury Before vacatuon tume we started work on our year book and spent the summer funding ways and collecting the means for transform ng our plarts unto reality According to an old tradutuon of the school we turned into seniors the next year We were pruvuleged to have Urs Oswald come from Swutzerland to uoun us un our escapades Mrs Breen against her better gudgement was persuaded to help advise us on any crucual issues Plans for the Harvest Moon Ball started rollung and ended with no seruous unuurues Scrubblung on scholarship exams we wished we hadnt spent so much tume plotting for the yearbook and had spent more on our textbooks But not even the dure warnings from our Englush teachers could unduce us to leave our senuor actuvutues for mere studies Finally un 1958 we were turned loose from senior hugh school thus tume to unvade the world' PAULINE SCHWEINFORTH - I I ' .
