The music of learning can be heard. The festive mood is in the air as friends come together to share in their own special celebration. We celebrate good times and bad, sports and activities, teachers and friends. As we show our school spirit and celebrate together, we become a school united in the ties of blue and white. Snapshots are taken at celebrations in your life. Let this yearbook stand as the photo albumn for the most impor- tant celebration of your life. Your school days at BCHS. 2 Children of our Alma Mater, Sing we now her praise, Burlington’s beloved High School Loud our voics raise. Lift her banner, raise it skyward Flaunt the Blue and White! JERSEY 8 Interwoven in our academic life at BCHS are all of the athletics. It brings out our school spirit and draws our students closer together. Its time to celebrate the teams that took us through the year with their exciting wins and their close losses. Each win or loss became a win or loss for the whole school. It has given all of us a sense of pride and the ability to accept defeat. Let’s celebrate the athletic acheivements of BCHS as we remember the teams and the coaches. Celebrate A Faculty That Cares 10 Our celebration must also include a faculty that cares. Our role-models, our confidantes, our friends, our lead- ers .... do more than just instruct us. They teach us perseverance, patience and pride. They foster our indepen- dence and nurture our dependence. They help in the realization of our self- worth and teach us to believe in our future. We will never forget the impressions you have made on us. And we thank you for not only doing your jobs well, but adding that extra ingredient that is everlasting and giving a piece of yourselves. 11 Celebrate Having Friends To all the friends we’ve had this year, We’re sure to drift apart, Maybe in the body, But never in the heart. As we celebrate the memories, We’ll always think of friends, The good times and the bad, The beginnings and the ends. We’ll celebrate the love we found. The advice and all the tears, We’ll celebrate our friendships. Forever through the years. 13 Celebrate Art Endeavors 14 15 We Dedicate This Edition To........ Godspell 72 The 1985 production of godspell was an ex- cellent production . . . a modern day real-life rendition of the Gos- pel of Saint John. Special recognition is given to Mr. Siberski for a superb directing effort; and to Mr. Ekleburg and his produc- tion crew for and outstand- ing job with the lighting and special effects. ACTIVITIES On November 9th, Homecoming became a large part of Burlington City. We floated along with the freshman to the ball field. We were swept away into the turbu- lent 60’s with the sophomores. We took our first steps on the moon with the juniors as we celebrated music history with the seniors. Music carried us through to the present as we joined together for the Homecoming Dance. A pro- fessional DJ played “You are my lady” as George Steinfeldt and Cynthia Long were crowned as our King and Queen. Dancin’ on Air joined in to select some of us to appear on its show. It was a night full of memories. A night full of fun. A night we’ll celebrate in our minds forever. 74 75 Foreign Exchange Program CYNTHIA LONG TO NORWAY KRISTINA AMBERG FROM STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN JORGE MAGANA FROM MEXICO CITY, MEXICO Senior Officers: D.
