ADMINISTRATION As each person is unique, so is each graduating class different from the classes that graduated before them. Each class has a composition of many individuals who have had various experiences in their lives so far. and who will travel widely differing paths in the years to come. The point in time at which the Class of 75 is graduating from Burlington City High School is also a period of time that differs from all past and future times. Although problems and crises have existed for all graduating classes, the difficulties confronting your « lass seem to be most serious and even critical in terms of our survival as a nation and a civilized society. There are the shortages of energy and food; of jobs and money; of good housing; of clean air and water; of a thorough and efficient education; of justice and economic opportunity, for all Americans. We need to solve these problems, and our solutions need to be more than temporary ones. You graduates must continue to educate yourselves so that you can cope with these enormous obstacles. Commencement exercises should not signify an end to your education, but a beginning of a new and different kind of education, pro- vided by new experiences in life, on the job. and working with others, as well as in classes. The education that you receive from now on may be practical and pragmatic in nature. As you realize that you are now a mature citizen in a democratic country, we hope that you also believe that you have been given a good, sound foundation of learning — a basic education — for the learning and living ahead of you. It's up to you now to build successfully upon it, and attain your goals. Congratulations, and our best wishes for happiness and success to each member of the Class of 75. Raymond A. Costello Mr. Raymond A. Costello — Princifxtl Mr. Angelo Albano Athletic Director Mr. Rollin Cunningham — Asst. Prin. in Charge of Student Personnel Mr. William Burr — Asst. Principal Mr. Howard Moore — Attendance Officer
