Burlington Senior High makes courses in biolo- gy, physics, and chemistry available to any student who wishes to take them. In biology class students study the composition of all living things. Relationships between var- ious forms of matter are discussed in the physics classes. Chemistry deals with the make-up and changes in all sub- stances. Each stu- dent is required by the State of New Jersey to complete two years of American History study. Democratic ideals and economic principles are stressed in the study of America's development. Those students who demonstrate exceptional abil- ity are offered an advance course comparable to the freshman year in college. Courses are also available in world geography, and world problems. AAR. HAROLD STINSON Basic Mathematics, Snack Shack Mathematic Closely related to the study of science is a knowledge of mathematics. Academic students are required to com- plete successfully algebra and plane geometry. Further work can be done in a second year of algebra or a year of advanced math, involving trigonometry and solid geometry. General Math II and basic mathematics are offered to students in the business course. These involve a review of math as it will be useful in everyday life after school years. MR.
