Bnarb of (ffturattmt As we look back upon our wonderful high school years, we must not exclude the extremely important Board of Education from our memories. This group of generous and competent people has helped to keep our high school among the top educational institutions in the state. By their decisions and rules, they have insured the correct atmos- phere for learning. They decide whether new ideas brought before them are feasible and if these should be tried in our school. Since the Board of Education is such an im- portant though unseen part of our school, we must surely not omit them and their roles from our memories. MR. GEORGE TYLER President of the Board of Education THE BOARD OF EDUCATION During our years at Burlington Senior High School, we have been part of a smoothly running school system under the guidance of (left to right), Mr. Frederick Forman, Mr. Milton Rosenberg, Dr. Joseph W. Howe, Superintendent, Mr. George Tyler, President, Mr. Arthur Cooper, Secretary, Mrs. Cornelius Hogan, and Mr. William Bell. MR. ARTHUR COOPER Secretary of the Board of Education

Jimp I'rmten bent of Schools The trails of yesterday lead to the pathways of tomorrow. As the twig is bent the tree's inclined. The flashbacks of life deepen our appreciation of our heritage and strengthen our determination to move forward to greater fields of service. Memories are to be cherished. Friendships are the bonds which give life meaning. As a class you have a rich heritage. Will each of you strive to be worthy of it and pass it on to the next generation—richer and more noble than it was passed to you? Cherish the memories of your school days. Best wishes for the future. DR. JOSEPH W. HOWE Superintendent of Burlington City Schools AhnimistratUie Assistant Graduation from high school marks an important milestone in your life. It is a goal worthy of achievement and you are to be congratulated on having attained it. Other equally important goals still lie ahead. We wish you every success in achieving them. MR. WALTER D.
