The Senior Class is now the Graduating Class of 1965. We have reached a new milestone, but the challenge of the future is just ahead. Now is the time to reminisce. Will there be a bridge to the memories of the past? The HEIR- LOOM of 1965 will be our link to the years spent at Burlington Senior High School. It will represent a timeless record of the in- numerable experiences of the past. The halls of our school may be empty now, but the pages of our yearbook will fill them with cherished memories. We have attempted to recall these moments, and to capture them for each member of the class. The greatest impact that Mr. Updike has on the seniors is his World Problems class. As head of the Social Studies Department, he plans the courses of studies followed by all BSHS students. Mr. Updike and Michako Komamura, an exchange student from Japan, discuss some of the advantages of the foreign student exchange program which is under the direction of our dedicatee. Under the experienced guidance of Mr. Updike, the Student Council's participation in the operation of the student activity program has expanded over the years. jBehicatum JranA JK. UpcfiAe We proudly dedicate the 1965 HEIRLOOM to Mr. Frank M. Updike, an individual who has manifested true interest in the student body of Burlington Senior High School. As head of the social studies department and sponsor of the Student Council, he has greatly con- tributed to our development as alert and responsible citizens. Mr. Updike has also been the key to the success of the foreign student exchange program in our high school. Exerting his influence on the class of 1965, Mr. Updike will be a treasured part of our memories of Burlington Senior High School.
