s4 t uc z t ?teU Service Sxcfautye Student When I first arrived in the U.S.A., I, as most A.F.S. students, was very anxious to see how the American school functions. I met with many new and exciting experiences during the past year. I was a little surprised at first at the length of the school day and year and at the amount of homework, but thanks to countless teachers and students the work was made easier. During the year I’ve taken English IV, chemistry, American History II, World Problems, and French III. All of these subjects were very interesting to me. In Italy I attend a school where scientific subjects are stressed. When I return I will have one more year of high school in Naples. I will then go to a University near Venice where I will study to be a chemical or physical engineer. American sports, especially football, were new to me, but I soon learned to really enjoy them. I enjoyed watching the band and cheerleaders because these were all strange to me. All the teachers and students have been so kind to me and have helped me greatly throughout the year. For this I thank you, and you may be assured that where ever I go, B.S.H.S. will always carry fond memories for me. Sincerely, Sandro Marzi A.F.S. exchange student Naples, Italy 16
