One of the most important projects that the senior class undertakes each year is the planning, preparation, and production of its yearbook. This is accomplished by first having the 'Heirloom staff select the theme that best illustrates their four years in B.S.H.S. Then, our sales campaign is planned and conducted. In the meantime, however, sketches are being drawn by the art committee, written material is being prepared by the literary committees, and layouts are being selected by the Heirloom staff. It is at this point that the development of the yearbook ceases to be the project of just a chosen few and becomes the project of the entire senior class. As time progresses, the yearbook takes on shape, much to the credit of our advisors, and finally is sent to the publisher. Here, at last, are the combined efforts of the Class of '59 —the 1959 HEIRLOOM. COMMITTEE HEADS TOP ROW: Walter Poole, Mark Bowen, David Kingston, Theodore Stellwag, Robert Ghaul, Cornelius Hogan. SECOND ROW: Nancy Carr, Angeline Venditti, Judith Weil, Harriet Curlis, Pauline Huth. BOT- TOM ROW: Faith Popkin, Nancy King, Paulette Schorr, Barbara Schneider. 16

Oun, ue t Sta% ALBERT CHI ESA The class of 1959 was proud to have as one of its members Albert Chiesa, our exchange student from Turin, Italy. Al visited us through the A.F.S. program and lived with the Landrys. He accumulated many friends during his stay for he mixed well with all types of people. His hobbies and interests included music, philosophy, tennis, debating, literature, and many other things. Albert hopes to study philosophy and literature in a university in Italy. We are sure that with his determination and ambition, he will succeed in whatever he undertakes. We, the class of 1959, feel very fortunate in having had the opportunity to work with Albert Chiesa in our senior year.
