Jerry Krenrinc, Paml Jones, Stanley Riley, Iartir Johnson, Terry Preator, Stanley lavzs The Burlington Chapter of FFA has had a successful year under the leader- ship of the following officers: Lee Christiansen, president, Archie Crichton, vice--president, Paul Jones, secretaryg Howard McIntosh, treasurer, Stanley Riley, reporterg Martin Johnson, sentinalg and Vern Reid, officer-at-large. Through the efforts of these officers, and the previous officers we achieved a goal which we had dreamed of since the beginning of the chapter in 1950--that of receiving a gold emblem in the National Chapter Contest. This is one of the most prized awards which can be won by an FFA Chapter and we are very proud to have received it. It was awarded at the National Convention, held in Kansas City, last October. We had three articles published in magazines this year. An article on our offieer's breakfast was published in the National Agricultural Education Magazine. A picture of the officers eating breakfast at the home of Lee Christiansen appeared with this article. The February issue of the American Farm Youth Ma- gazine carried an article on our Chapter Sweetheart Ball. The cover picture of this magazine was a picture of Norma Preator-Chapter Sweetheart, with Lee Christiansen, Archie Crichton, and Mr. Tolman. An article on the Sears Bundation Sheep Flock was printed in the Wyoming Stockman Farmer. This was accompanied by a picture of Paul Jones and Mr. Tolman examining the Sears Flock. At tlnState FFA Convention this year we were fortunate in having Paul Jones elected State Parlimentarian. We had two State Farmers--Paul Jones and Archie Crichton.
