N As the nation progresses so do the schools. This is in great evidence in the Burlington-Edison school district, where one may observe two new edificcs and a new athletic field each of which has either been completed, or is now under completion. Dur- ing the summer months before the start of school a new athletic field was installed in the northwest corner of the campus, and is one of the most modem in the county, being styled after the field at the University of Washington. Last year the new West- view Grade School was put into operation, with many modem conveniences installed for the students benefit. This year will observe the opening of the new large physical education plant so badly needed for many years. EST!-EER GRUNDY, our school secretary. MRS, GRUNDY has worked very hard during the past years at BH-IS as the head of the office girls, recipient and recorder of all student body funds, and com- piler of all student records.
