-Glace Wietazg Yea, Seniors, Yea, Seniors, Yea, Yea, Seniors. With that yell the mighty Class of '54 took over the reins as the leaders of the BEHS campus. We may have been a dignified and unmovable Senior Class, but you should have seen us back in 'SO when we first entered high school as little green frosh. That first year we hcld the Freshman Return Party for the Sophom- ore class who has earlier initiated us in the usual messy way. Kendall Turner was elected to preside at the post of president that first year. To wind up the year a class picnic was held at Cranberry Lake with every one having a wonderful time. AS Sophomores we then had our chance to initiate the Frosh, and we made the most of it with alum, oil, etc. Tom Adkins was elected president of the class, but due to his leaving later in the year, Jack Chrysler was appointed to take over. Again it was time for a class picnic, this time to be held at Lake Samish where we duplicated our previous picnic. Hjunior Class Elects Co-Presidents read the headline in the Blue and Gold in our junior year as Bob Gardner and Jo Anne Bo ettcher were elected to fill that position. They were to lead our class in such enterprises as the junior Prom fNA LEI O HA - WAIIJ mixers after games, and a new tradition at graduation: a reception for the Seniors just previous to graduation. Well -' ! it was a wonderful year, and one to remember as we now had a good treasury and were ready to take over as Seniors. The Senior Ball fPARISIENNE GAITEQ held at the Holiday Ballroom the 27th of November and the Thanksgiving assembly a few days earlier were both great successes. The Senior Play fl-IEAD IN THE CLOUDS, and sponsoring the Best All Around Boy and Girl Contest were held under the direction of Dale Levaque, Senior Class President. Our Sneak fooled all the un- derclassmen as did the Class Day with its share of the mess. Finally the last trip down the aisles of BEHS as the graduating Class of 1954. We were the first class to graduate in the new gymnasium, which made more room for all concerned. We were all a little happy and a little sad, too, as we went forward to receive our diplomas. Now we are a class of the past and hope our memory will linger in a school we will never forget.
