B.Gardner,U.Levaque,J.Boettcher, ?,Crat5enourg,A.Camphell,E.Vramp1Lm ll W 7 n Under the aura of Hawaii, the Junior Prom, Na Lei 0 Hawaii, was held at the Seven Cedars pavilion on April l7. Reigning over the events of the evening were Queen Joan Sullivan and King Jerry Benson, who were crowned by Boo Gardner, co-president of the Junior class. Dancing to the rhythmic music of Wayne Bumgarner'e orchestra, the large crowd fell under the spell of a Hawaiian fantasy, with palm trees and glittering dec- orations setting the mood. The joint participation of three schools, Mount Vernon, Sedro Woolley and Burlington-Edison,nade the dance a su:cess.Extensive planning and hard work by over a third of the Junior class helped make this dance one of the best in several years. The planning committee who met jointly with members from the other schools were Bob Gardner, Dale Levaque, JoAnne Boettcher, and JoAnn Benson. Those who decorated were Pat Campbell, Beverly Krampitz, Joanne Boettcher, Dale Levaque, Bob Gardner, and Frank Cratsenburg. Handling ticket sales were JoAnn Benson, Jack Chry- sler, and Gordon Brand. Advertising was done by Kathleen Eddie Peck. Many other com- mittees contributed to make this Junior Prom a dance that will have fond memories for all who attended.
