Alpha Tri-Ha Y The Tri-Hi-Y is a world wide organization for girls which is sponsored by the Y,M,C.A, The main purpose of the club is to, Create, maintain, and extend throughout the home, school, and community high standards of Christian character, Under the capable assistance of Miss Elizabeth L. Scott, the officers: Betty Schulte, President, Gloria Kemp, Vice-Presi- dent, Jean Kucic, Secretary: Lesa Stewart, Treasurer, Nancy Blaine and Judy Kraeer, Chaplains: the club had an active year. The selling of the traditional football mums took place at the last W.P,I,A. football game. A Post-Valentine Hop was held on the Friday after Valentine's Day. Nancy Blaine, Gloria Kemp, Jean Kucic, and Donna Allison attended the United Nations Model Assembly in Harrisburg on March 3rd' and 4th, They were selected on the basis of essays submitted on the subject, What the United Nations Means to Mei!! The 25th anniversary homecoming of the Tri-Hi-Y took place April 6. Many 'former members returned and renewed old acquaintances. The annual Mother and Daughter Banquet was held on May 8. Beta Tri-Hi-Y The Beta Tri-Hi-Y under the supervision of Mrs. Vukotich has ac- complished much this year in their many fields of service. The Beta, aided by members of the Hi-Y, made its annual trip to the County Home for the Aged during the month of December. Through the generosity of the residents of the Greater Burgettstown Area, each person in the home received a gift, candy, and some cookies. The officers who helped carry out the tasks of the year are: President, Mary Jean Korosec: Vice-President, Patricia Edwards: Treasurer, Nadine Ciabattarig Chaplain, Linda Jackson, Historian, Donna Harris.
